FAQ

Teaching yoga begins long before you guide your first class—it starts with the courage to look within, to listen deeply, and to show up for yourself and others with presence and love.

May this training be a doorway to new beginnings, meaningful connections, and a deeper relationship with your true self.

Do I need to have an advanced yoga practice to join?

Not at all! This training welcomes all dedicated practitioners. You don’t need to be able to do advanced postures—just bring curiosity, consistency, and an open heart.

Will I be certified to teach after completing the training?

Yes! Upon successful completion of all requirements, you’ll receive a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Certification recognized by Yoga Alliance.

What if I miss a class?

While it’s best not to miss any classes in order to fully experience the training, we understand that life happens. If you must miss a session, hours can be made up through additional assignments, practice teaching, or other approved activities, with prior authorization from the lead instructor.

What should I bring to each session?

Bring your yoga mat, journal or notebook, comfortable clothing, and a water bottle. Props will be provided, but you’re always welcome to bring your own.

Do I need my own yoga mat?

Your mat is like your temple—it holds your energy, your practice, and your journey. Having your own is highly recommended, but it’s not mandatory. There will be extra mats available for those who need them.

Is parking available?

We have several garages in the area, as well as street parking. We recommend arriving early to find a spot and get settled before class begins.

Is there homework or self-study?

Yes, students are encouraged to commit to daily sadhana (personal practice), along with reading selected books (a reading list will be provided), journaling, and self-study.

In addition, before graduation, each student must complete all assignments, observe three classes, assist in three classes, and teach at least two classes. Students are also required to complete five hours of karma yoga (community service).

While the training offers strong guidance and support, it’s important to remember that this is just the beginning — you will become a lifelong student of yoga

Who is this training for?

Anyone ready to deepen their yoga practice, teach yoga, or embark on a journey of self-discovery. Many participants take this training for personal growth—even if they don’t plan to teach.

Can I take the training even if I don’t plan to teach yoga?

Absolutely. Many students join the training not with the intention to teach, but to deepen their personal practice, understanding, and connection to yoga. The program offers powerful tools for self-discovery, mindfulness, and growth—on and off the mat. Whether or not you choose to teach, the experience will enrich your life in meaningful ways.

What kind of personal transformation can I expect from this training?

This training is much more than learning to teach yoga — it’s a journey of self-discovery, awareness, and growth. You’ll deepen your personal practice, gain a greater understanding of your body and mind, and cultivate tools for balance and mindfulness in everyday life. Many students find that the experience strengthens their confidence, clarity, and sense of purpose, both on and off the mat.
